New Look Thru The Looking Glass / acrylic & vintage wall paper on panel / 48”H x 36”W x 1.5”D / 2026
This is the fourth work from my “Dress/Alice in Wonderland” series - an extension from my Guardian paintings - a painting inspired by the “Bar” jacket designed by Christian Dior for his New Look, which premiered in 1947.
In this painting the small bird on the “Queen’s” left hand is (possibly) being asked to join the others on the Royal’s frock. The Flamingo and the peek-a-boo Hedgehog are from a sequence where the Queen of Hearts and Alice play a rather animated game of croquet.
This work has SOLD but reach out to discuss my creating a custom work for you.
